Recognizing Famous Art
You know how you periodically see or hear references to famous works of art, but can never remember the names or who painted them? Get to know 30 of the most famous prints and paintings in history with this artwork PDF. This isn’t strictly a “printable” as it’s not meant to be printed out (though you can if you want). Each page has a big color image of an iconic piece of art, and the next page has a caption with the title, artist and date it was done.
The idea is to scroll through the file, one page at a time, and see if you can recognize each one before checking the info on the next page. I’ve chosen a mix of the best-known pieces, with a combination of classical and modern. It’s not really meant to illustrate a particular era or style of artwork, but just a collection of images that you are most likely to see references to.
Oh, be warned there is some slight artistic nudity. Very minor though.
