Civil War Timeline Printables

Though I’m personally Canadian, I know that the American Civil War is a huge history topic for most homeschoolers. Oddly enough, I didn’t see too many blank timeline printables that were intended for this important topic. So I put something together that specifically covers the 4 years of the Civil War.

I spread out the time markers to months so that it didn’t get too compressed. Since there are a lot of specific events and dates, you’ll need lots of room. This is a 10-page spread of blank timeline (maybe too long?), along with 2-pages of graphics you can use if you want. The graphics are in color but should print just fine if you have a b/w printer. Flags and cannons for battles, and other images you can use to mark important deaths or treaty signings. Whatever. Feel free to get as artistic as you want.

I also added a list of major events that you may want to include (I based the graphics on these).

I hope these give you a way to visually lay out the events of the Civil War and a spot to get creative as you work on your history studies. As you lay the pages out to create the timeline, you may want/need to cut the margins off so that the lines and labels match up.
