Writing in a Winter Wonderland

We do regular cursive practice here even though it’s not taught any more in our local schools. It can be tough to find decent resources for teaching or practicing cursive as more and more people consider it to be “useless”. Well, I think it’s an important skill to keep up, so I wanted to share some Christmas themed cursive practice pages.

There are 2 sets. The first ones are short pieces of text that you can copy out onto another sheet of writing paper. They’re more for kids who know their cursive and don’t need any guidance, just something fun to practice with. They’d make cute little posters for the fridge too.

The second set is simpler, with a sentence or two at the top, with blank spaces underneath to copy the example. Better for younger kids who still need to see the cursive example as they write.

Both are made up of lines or quotes from famous Christmas movies (and yes, that includes a Nightmare Before Christmas)

I may do a similar type of set for block printing as well as cursive practice. Leave a comment!
