We use crossword puzzles a LOT in our house because they combine the rather boring question/answer format of worksheets with a puzzle. As more words are solved, more clues are added. They can be tough to find on scientific subjects though. So I’m making my own. Today, there are a pair of periodic table puzzles (along with answers) for your scientific enjoyment.
Most of the clues are based on various trivial bits of information on the elements, along with some numbers and facts about the table. A kid may be able to solve them without the table if they’ve memorized a lot of the details (like mine does), but many questions aren’t directly found on the periodic table itself and might require some further research.
